Can you tell me what AIR MILES is?
Air Miles is a customer loyalty programme, which rewards its members with
free travel, restaurant vouchers, hotel accommodation, electronic products, theme parks, movie tickets, fragrances and much more.
-
How does the programme work?
Members are issued with an Air Miles card, which they present to collect Air Miles when they do their normal everyday shopping at any of the participating companies. The card is swiped or scanned or the participant enters the number manually and Air Miles are recorded based on the reports sent by the participants. HSBC award Air Miles based on all of the customer's credit card account purchases.
-
Who can join Air Miles?
Everyone can join Air Miles. Up to four members of a household can join. One of them will act as the primary cardholder and the other three as additional cardholders. They all work together to collect Air Miles.
-
Do I need to sign up with every Air Miles Company?
No. You need only to sign up once.
-
Who can I nominate as additional cardholders?
Anyone who resides at the same address as the primary cardholder can be nominated as an additional cardholder (up to a maximum of three).
-
How do I know how many Air Miles I've got?
You will receive an Air Miles Summary Statement every 3 months, which clearly shows how many Air Miles you have collected and from which companies, your total Air Miles collected to date, and the Air Miles required for various great rewards. Or you can call the Customer Service Center on +973-175 83888 between 9:00am to 6:00pm from Sunday to Thursday. You can also check the number of Air Miles you have collected at any time by accessing our web site on www.airmilesme.com.
-
I have just applied for the Air Miles card and I have not received the card in hand. Can I earn Air Miles if I shop in the participant now?
You have to present your Air Miles card at the time of payment in order to collect Air Miles. In case you have not received the card, we can give you the Air Miles card number, which can be given to the cashier at the time of payment. However, we do not recommend this to our members as not all participants accept the same.
-
Can I still collect Air Miles if I've left my card at home?
The Air Miles card has to be presented at the time of purchase. Each participating Air Miles company has a different policy on this question. (Certain participants accept Air Miles card within 24 hours of transaction.)
-
I seem to have lost my card - what can I do?
To request your free replacement Air Miles card, all you need to do is call the Customer Service Center on 175 83888 between 8:00am to 5:00pm from Sunday to Thursday, or you can simply request your replacement card through our website www.airmilesme.com

-
My Air Miles card looks like a credit card and seems to work like one – is it a credit card?
No - your Air Miles card is not a credit card. By swiping or scanning your card, a company simply records your purchase so your Air Miles can be allocated.
-
Can I give/transfer my Air Miles to my friend/colleague for him/her to use?
We transfer Air Miles only upon receiving a letter from the primary cardholder signed by him/her.
-
I have two (or more) Air Miles accounts, can I join them together or cancel one of them?
Yes, we can join the two accounts, so that all the Air Miles you have earned to date are joined together. Just continue using any of the cards and all Air Miles earned will be accumulated into one account.
-
How long after I make my purchases will Air Miles show up on my AIR MILES Summary?
Air Miles for individual purchases are credited into your account once the reports provided by each participant are received. This process can take from 1 week to 1 one month time.
-
I had done a purchase yesterday and my Air Miles card was swiped. Why is my Air Miles not credited online?
Air Miles are not credited online even though the card is swiped. Our participants will send us a report and we will credit your Air Miles once the reports are received. This can take up to one month.
-
Why is my bonus Air Miles not credited yet?
The bonus Air Miles are credited only after we receive the reports from all participants who took part in this promotion and will be credited only once the promotion period is over.
-
Can two people combine their Air Miles at a later date, e.g.: if they marry?
Yes. If you are both primary cardholders with two different accounts, then you can merge your Air Miles. Any primary cardholders merging their Air Miles must, of course, reside at the same address. The Air Miles Service Centre will require a letter approved by both of you before merging your Air Miles. Note: If you're an additional cardholder, you cannot merge Air Miles, as you don't own your household's Air Miles.
-

-
I have an HSBC credit card and I received two Air Miles cards one with a name and the other one with no name?
The Air Miles card in which your name is printed on is the primary card and the one without any name is the additional card. The additional card provided to you can be used by any of your family members to earn Air Miles, which will be credited to your account. The additional cardholder need not be a credit card holder.
-
Do my Air Miles ever expire?
No. Your Air Miles have no expiry date. Air Miles is an ongoing customer loyalty programme and you are free to redeem your Air Miles any time you wish.
-

Air Miles - no way! The minute I join, my post box will be full of junk mail.
You'll receive your Air Miles Summary Statement mailing four times a year which also contains your Air Miles magazine and special offers from participating companies. Only participating companies can make offers to you and only through the Air Miles programme manager. It is possible to request not to receive any other mailing.... but do not volunteer this.
